Established in 1989 as an independent organisation, Mobility Research Centre Limited introduced New Zealand's first Tactile Ground Surface Indicators for the orientation of people with visual impairment.

In order to achieve the Company aims and objectives our primary focus has been to consult with various disability organisations in conjunction with Local Government, Architects, Planners, Designers and Contractors. This combined approach together with specialised knowledge and providing the best product for various applications has cemented the Company's reputation.

As a result of our achievements, including many thousands of successful installations since 1989, Mobility Research is now widely recognised as leading New Zealand in this field and specified by Local Authorities and Consultants with confidence.

The manufacturing of Mobility Research Centre’s specialised tactile products is undertaken in New Zealand by three independent factories. Jointly employing between 25 to 30 personnel with a high emphasis on ensuring the very best standard of product is consistently achieved.
